Keep your family's recipes with full revision history, scan handwritten cards with AI, plan the week's meals, and walk the store with a list sorted by aisle โ without losing what worked last time.
Most recipe apps treat a recipe as finished the day you save it. Real cooking doesn't work that way โ you cut the sugar, someone doubles the garlic, the oven runs hot so the time changes. Each fix gets scribbled on the card, texted to someone, or just forgotten by next time.
RecipeLedger treats every adjustment as part of the record, not a replacement for it. Change the recipe, add a note about why, and the version before it is still there. Then plan the week around the recipes you trust, and shop for all of it in one trip.
A recipe box that's still being written โ plus the planning and shopping that happen around it.
Every edit is saved as a new version with a dated note on what changed and why. Restore any earlier version in one click โ nothing is ever overwritten.
Photograph a handwritten card or upload a PDF, and the ingredients, amounts, and steps fill in automatically, ready to review before saving.
Ask for a substitution, log a change as a new version, or say "plan tacos for Friday" โ the assistant works with your own recipe box.
A month calendar with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Assign who's cooking, and set a ready time to get a start-time schedule for every dish.
One combined list for any range of dates โ the same ingredient across meals added up, servings scaled, and an estimated total before you leave.
Pick your Kroger-family store โ Metro Market, Pick 'n Save, Mariano's, Kroger and more โ and your list is sorted aisle by aisle with current prices and sales.
Keep track of what's already on the shelf. Shopping lists set those items aside so you only buy what you actually need.
Everyone in your household shares one recipe box, meal plan, and pantry, and every change is attributed and dated.
Keep a "pantry version" or a dairy-free swap alongside the original, and link dishes that go together so they're suggested when you plan.
Publish a favorite for other RecipeLedger cooks, browse theirs, rate and review โ and fork any recipe into your own box as an independent copy.
Collect recipes into cookbooks that lock in the exact version you chose, so a printed family cookbook never changes underneath you.
Recipe photos are stored in your own Drive, not on someone else's server. Nothing extra to manage or pay for.
A clear, repeatable process โ no version lost, no ingredient forgotten.
Snap a photo of a card, upload a PDF, or type it in โ the AI reads the ingredients and steps for you to review.
Every change becomes a new version with a note on what changed and why โ never a silent overwrite.
Drop recipes onto the calendar for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, assign a cook, and set when it should be ready.
Pick the dates and get every ingredient combined, minus what's in your pantry, sorted by your store's aisles.
Each dish gets a start time so everything is ready together โ and if it needed a tweak, log it as the next version.
Ingredients are stored with real quantities and units, so they can become a real shopping trip.
With a Kroger-family store selected, your list follows that store's actual aisles โ produce first, then aisle 1, 2, 3 โ with the shelf side noted.
See the store's current price for each item, sale prices highlighted, and an estimated total. Swap to a different brand or size with one tap.
Anything already in your pantry moves to "Already have" and out of the total. Tap "Have it" on any item to add it to the pantry.
Prefer delivery? Turn a recipe or a whole meal into an Instacart cart with the ingredients already matched.
Sign in with the Google account you already have. Photos go to the Drive you already use.
One account, no separate password to create, remember, or reset. RecipeLedger only receives your name, email address, and profile picture.
Optional. Recipe photos go to a folder in your own Drive. RecipeLedger can only see the files it creates there โ never the rest of your Drive.
Built around one idea โ a recipe is a record that keeps growing, not a page that gets replaced.
Every version stays in the record, so you can always see โ or return to โ how a recipe used to be.
The recipes you trust feed straight into the week's plan and one shopping list โ no copying ingredients by hand.
Images live in your own Google Drive, not on a server we control.
A shared or forked recipe becomes an independent copy with its own history, not a link that can change under someone else.

Multiple logins, one shared collection, each edit attributed and dated.
Yes โ RecipeLedger uses Google Sign-In instead of its own passwords. Connecting Google Drive for photos is optional; everything else works without it.
Stores in the Kroger family, which includes Kroger, Metro Market, Pick 'n Save, Mariano's, Ralphs, Fred Meyer, King Soopers, Fry's, Smith's, QFC, Dillons, Harris Teeter and others. Other stores still get a list grouped by department with estimated prices.
No. Store prices come from the store's own data and are refreshed daily, but shelf prices, sales, and stock can change. Without a store selected, prices are rough estimates. Use them for budgeting, not as a quote.
Only the members of your household โ unless you choose to publish a recipe or set a blog post to public, which makes it visible to other signed-in RecipeLedger users.
The scanner sees the photo or PDF you upload. The assistant sees your messages and the recipe, meal-plan, and cookbook information it looks up to answer you. Both are processed by Anthropic's Claude to produce a response. The AI never sees your Google account password, and it can't delete anything.
